Activities to do in Bali
1. Waterbom Bali

Right here through this link>   Waterbom Bali you can purchase your tickets for your family or group outings.

Waterbom is undoubtedly one of the most enjoyable activities to experience in Bali. It offers a thrilling rush of adrenaline and boasts incredible slides that are conveniently free from long queues, thanks to recent upgrades.

What to expect; Waterbed is expensive but not like the Gold Coast and they’re theme parks. You will need to load money onto your wrist band when purchasing it at the front desk, so your best bet is to have enough money on there so you can walk down to the lockers and hire a locker otherwise you’ll be doing the mistake we did and only put $30 AUD on and we wanted to hire a gazebo which was $50 AUD, plus towels- because we hired a gazebo we did not need to hire a locker as our gazebo came with a safe which we locked all our valuables in and kept our pram and other things on our bedding, Bali is a very trust worthy place and you won’t need to worry about putting your clothes in a locker ect.

2. Nusa penida day tour from Bali

Nusa Penida day tour from Bali- this tour comes with many activities, we had done this while we had our family watch Hailey for the day but you could definitely take kids along with you but maybe booking a private tour to work in with your children needs.
The day included all of this when purchasing through Klook-

While Hailey, at just 2.5 years old, was only 10cm away from meeting the height requirement to ride the slides with us, it’s important to note that children must be at least 100cm tall to participate. If your child doesn’t meet this requirement, consider hiring a nanny for the day to engage with them, allowing you and your spouse to relish a delightful time together, reminiscent of old times.

Nusa Penida day tourWhat’s included;
– Tickets for the ferry to and from Nusa
– A private driver who will be waiting ashore when you arrive off the ferry + Who takes photos for you throughout the day (don’t forget to tip for this)
– Snorkelling at 3 destinations
– Full Equipped snorkel gear
– Angel Billabong – A chance to swim in the crystal clear emerald water of the island’s natural infinity pool
– Tumbling beach
– Plenty of instagram worthy places to take some shoots
– A short walk to Broken Beach (as you can see in photo)
– Lunch included (please double check you have booked this)

What to bring;
– Comfortable clothes and rubber shoes
– Towel
– Swimwear
– Mosquito repellant
– Sunscreen, hat and sunglasses
– Snacks
– Money
– Camera/ GoPro/ Drone
– A set of dry clothes

3. Bali safari and marine

Bali Safari is an exceptional choice, and I will explain why. Unlike other establishments, this park refrains from sedating their animals, allowing visitors to capture genuine photos with them. The utmost care is given to the well-being of the animals, evident through their excellent enclosures and continuous supply of nourishment throughout the day. One can easily perceive the love and attention bestowed upon these creatures, which enhances the overall experience.

It is highly advised not to patronize establishments that permit close interaction with tigers, as they often rely on heavy sedation, resulting in a profoundly distressing situation for these magnificent creatures.

What to expect; Bali safari offers a range of things to do such as, feeding the tigers from a underground cage in there enclosures, feeding elephants, watching elephant shows that explain a story when they had come into their villages, holding snakes if your game enough, holding Orangutang’s and also holding big birds, you are allowed to take photos while doing these activities which can add up, but they are such a great memory to keep forever we were happy to pay for it.

4. sunset watching

Sunset watching on Bali beaches does not just mean you’ll be watching the most gorgeous sunset, it means you’ll be doing shopping, getting a massage, your hair braided, nails painted and better yet- drinking and eating all by sitting on a chair/ bean bag/ beach bed, by the beach and relaxing!

What to expect; Sitting on the beach can be very overwhelming from the locals that hustle hard, but this also can be so useful! One thing about the balinese they make it happen! If your after something and can show them a photo, they hustle so hard to go find it from they’re friends or families shop, they’ll search high and low. They have items like paintings, radios, kids toys, clothes, snacks, bracelets, sunglasses along with they offer services like massaging and  hair braiding! You really do live here like a king.

5. Temples - Uluwatu

Temples in Bali are well known for their magical and spiritual ambiance. One such temple is Uluwatu Temple, which offers breathtaking views of the beach from its cliffside location. When visiting Uluwatu Temple, it is advisable to hire a tour guide who can provide valuable insights about the temple’s history and traditions. Additionally, the presence of monkeys in the area can be quite mischievous, so having a guide can help ensure a safer and more enjoyable visit, we had learnt this along our journey!

What to expect; There are many temples over Bali, the Uluwatu temple is definitely a popular one with many tourist, if you can get there early in the mornings you’ll be able to witness how they pray and what it looks like. When in Bali you can learn so much about how they live and why they have these beautiful temples, we say ‘if you’re not learning something new each day, than your doing it all wrong!’

6. massages & hair braiding

Massages, what can I say? They are the best thing since sliced bread! And even better when they are $12-$14 AUD for a whole hour of goodness!
We have our favourite massage parlour and have been going to them since we first went together in 2017. The reason why we continue to go there is because they are good at what they do, the customer service is everything you want!
Find they’re shop directly through this link-

What to expect; Be aware that individuals under the age of 18 are not permitted to receive massages from male therapists at this establishment. It is important to note that this shop really does prioritise cleanliness and strictly maintains a professional atmosphere, which in all honesty- that’s what every shop should do!
They do not engage in or tolerate any activities referred to as ‘happy endings,’ which ultimately contributes to creating a truly relaxing and peaceful experience for all visitors, and its exactly what we expect!

8. batur natural hot springs

Batur natural hot springs is a natural hot springs that flow from underground where the ‘Mount Batur’ volcano is but has not had an eruption since 2000.
Despite how scary it does sound to be near, it is the one place I loved going in 2017 with Jayden, We had gone here for our one year anniversary and had gone back here in 2023 for our honeymoon! We first seen this place in a private tour we had done, firstly we watched the sunrise, then we had ventured down to the hot springs, which spent a few hours here. We then heading to some rice fields where we had lunch and then went to the monkey forest, it was a big day but amazing.

What to expect; When doing Batur natural hot springs you must keep in mind it is an early start around 3am in the morning, and the drive is about 2hrs from Seminyak. You could potentially spend a few days here and have no early mornings as I have seen they do clamping around there also and now have many hotels/ resorts as back in 2017 they only had one restaurant and one pool, we were completely shocked when we had gone back in 2023 to see how much it has grown!

9. turtle releasing

There is a page on Facebook that releases baby turtle’s, it is called ‘Bali sea turtle society (BSTS), they are a small company that are all volunteers so if you get to do this activity, please tip them! We tipped them $10 AUD because it was something we really wanted to do and really appreciated that we were able to do it, some people in front of me tipped them 20 cents which was really poor on they’re behalf.. Please, please, please don’t tip that low as it is so insulting!

What to expect; This starts at 4;30pm to 5pm on the days they announce it, on they’re page, but being such a popular activity not everyone will get the chance to release a turtle, so be sure to get there before 4;30pm to get a baby turtle. Please remember to never touch them, let them find they’re own way to the water and don’t walk behind them as the water can quickly bring them in and sadly can step on them.

10. peak-a-boo play centre

Travelling with kids is full on sometimes and they can act up fast when they are board out of their brains! So we did our research and came across a play centre which Hailey absolutely loved and had so much fun meeting and playing with new kids her age, some didn’t even speak English and some did, but that’s what it is all about- experiencing other cultures and learning that not everyone she comes in contact with will understand her!

What to expect; Peek-a-boo play centre is about a 30 minute drive from Seminyak and can cost up to $5-$10 just for one way with a grab- when we had used a grab it was very hard for one guy to find us, so when booking stand out on the foot path and book from there so the driver does not miss you. They also do not allow kids to come in without any socks, so be sue to pack some. There is a lovely cafe next door and clean toilets also.

11. Bali swing- ubud

Bali swing – Ubud is indeed a popular attraction for thrill-seekers and Instagram enthusiasts. It offers a variety of activities such as zip-lining, couple swings, and solo swings, all set amidst beautiful scenery.  Additionally, Bali Swing features an infinity pool where guests can relax and enjoy cocktails while taking in the stunning views. The entry fee for Bali Swing is very affordable, costing less than $5 AUD. This admission price often includes a coffee tour where visitors can learn about the unique process of Luwak possums digesting and excreting coffee beans. At the end of the tour, guests have the option to purchase these coffee beans, which are said to produce a distinct and flavorful brew. It’s an interesting experience worth trying, but it’s important to note that Bali Swing is not wheelchair or pram friendly, so accessibility may be limited for some visitors.

What to expect; When planning a day here, we insist that you go early in the morning to avoid the big crowds- this actually applies for every activity in Bali and mostly every other country we have been too. If you want that instagram perfect shot, we repeat- GO EARLY IN THE MORNING!
This place is just beautiful, there is a tall man down the bottom of the rice fields that is made out of straw, all man-made which once your standing down the bottom of his feet, it is really breath taking seeing every piece winded in together.
Make sure you have enough time to do all activities such as the couples swing or solo, the infinity pool, cocktail drinking, zip lining and walking the park.

If you have any questions that you need answered please don’t hesitate to message us on our socials and we will reply within 24 hours. We hope that you have found this page useful and we hope that this gives you a really great experience in Bali!
