Bali Packing List With Babies And Kids

Planning a trip to Kids Bali with babies and kids? You’ve come to the right place for the essential Bali packing list! We’ll guide you on what to pack in your suitcases and carry-ons, including extra items like prams, car seats, and portable cots. On our first trip with Hailey for New Year’s 2023, we had little information on what to bring. This blog post is dedicated to helping parents prepare and pack wisely for their family adventures!

In this blog, we cover everything you need to know about:

  • What to pack in your suitcases?

  • What to pack in your carry on?

  • Things to keep in mind

  • Airport check-in

What to pack in your suitcase's?

As a family of three on our first overseas trip, we truly overpacked clothes, resulting in four suitcases for check-in due to diapers and wipes! We were grateful, as Bali doesn’t carry the specific brands we use, and we stayed for two weeks. We went through everything and we would do it again. Our list below help you save money in the long run, so please take me seriously when I say what to pack!

  1. We 100% recommend taking formula if your bubs is drinking it, as ‘long life’ milk in other countries are not the same as your home country and may upset the babies tummy. We also highly recommend taking all nappies/ Swimming nappies, nappy rash creams because again, they are not the same as your home, along with a pricey.
  2. Pack lots of sunscreen because this is the most expensive thing on the shelves.
  3. Bottle’s and Milton tablets for sterilising.
  4. Lunch box for the full day tours.

As the kids get older, the suitcases become lighter and you only take what you need.

Hint: Most airlines allow four suitcases for a family, but be mindful of weight limits. For example, we had a total of 80kg across three bags (20kg each).

What to pack for carry on?
  1. Water- You’ll be allowed to take water through most airports due to flying with kids. Our recent flight via Bali to Melbourne, we were given back a water bottle because we had a kid with us.
  2. Thermos- Using hot water for your bottles whilst travelling with a baby is really accepted.
  3. Nappies- You never know when your going to need, so over pack just incase you are suck on a run way longer than expected.
  4. Toys- Shop our amazon storefront page here- Kid-Friendly Travel Essentials, so your little ones can fly without being board.
  5. Bedding- Down below you’ll find the products that we use so Hailey can nap in piece !
**note**

Always check with your airline about restrictions on items, as some may not allow certain products through airport security or international borders.

For our flight to Bali, we flew with Jetstar, which allowed us to carry everything listed here. We packed Hailey’s nappy bag with plenty of snacks to keep her happy during the flight.

Hre we have the activity book that we have used since 2022 for all of our tripsKids Bali Packing List

Thing's to keep in mind

Traveling with kids means navigating nap times can be tricky! Book night or late afternoon flights to help them sleep. Alternate nap duties with your partner to stay refreshed and able to have eyes on the child at all times, sometimes this is not possible, so put the kids against the window for peace of mind.

Be aware that most airlines experience delays. We faced a three-hour wait on the runway in Melbourne, which taught us to prepare better for unexpected situations.

Pack extra formula and diapers in your carry-on, as well as spare clothes. Don’t expect your bags to arrive the same day, as we had our luggage delayed, but luckily received it the next day.

Sourcing formula in Bali was challenging, but we managed with long-life milk as Hailey transitioned to cows’ milk.

Airport check-in

Check-in can be daunting, especially with toddlers. Keep everything organised in a shoulder bag for efficiency.

We opted not to check our pram, as it was handy for Hailey to nap at the airport. If you plan to bring your travel pram, confirm at the front desk that it’s allowed and have a carry bag ready.

For Bali packing list for babies and kids, we highly recommend a travel pram.

Having a travel pram is a game changer for families. It provides convenience and comfort, allowing you to focus on creating lasting memories with your child. Don’t forget the carry bag for your pram!
